We pride ourselves on comprehensive delivery and therefore provide the most common surface treatments. We do wet painting ourselves, i.e. hand spraying, other surface treatments – blasting, sandblasting and powder coating are done for us by an external company. We paint the complete RAL portfolio.

Blasting

‍

This involves the use of high pressure and abrasive materials to clean the surface of the metal. It can include a wide range of abrasive materials such as glass beads, steel shot, corundum, plastic granules, soda ash and more. Each of these materials has specific properties and is used according to the requirements for the final surface treatment.

Sandblasting

‍

This is a specific type of blasting in which sand is used as the abrasive material. The process involves applying a stream of sand to the surface of the material to be cleaned, roughened or stripped of old paint.

Wet painting

‍

In wet painting, the liquid coating (paint, varnish) is applied to the surface of the material using a brush, roller or spray gun, so it is a manual application. It is then allowed to dry and cure, which may involve the application of heat. Wet painting offers a wide range of surface treatments (glossy, matt, textured) and can achieve very thin layers. It is suitable for detail and fine work.

Powder coating

‍

This is performed by applying a dry powder to the surface of the material, usually in an electrostatic manner, where the powder adheres to the surface. The powder is then cured in a high temperature furnace where it melts to form a uniform surface. It forms a thick, uniform and durable layer that is highly resistant to wear, corrosion and chemicals. It typically provides a smoother and more durable finish than wet painting.
